Among the five hours of sight and sound that Magnolia Electric Co. releases tomorrow inside quaint wooden boxes is The Road Becomes What You Leave, a DVD of self-proclaimed “lonely” tour footage directed by Todd Chandler and Tim Sutton. Tomorrow, June 19, Magnolia Electric Co. begins a multi-national tour to promote its upcoming box set, Sojourner. Ready for release on August 7 by Secretly Canadian, the set includes Nashville Moon (recorded with Steve Albini), The Black Ram (recorded by David Lowery), the Sun Session EP (recorded in Memphis, of course) and Shohola, an album Jason Molina whipped together by himself at home. Magnolia Electric Co. Announce 2007 Tour

A mere 30 days after ending a three-month, three-continent-spanning solo tour, Jason Molina’s doing it all again. This time he’s taking his band, Magnolia Electric Co., with him; and the man that won’t stop working already has dates scheduled as far away as September.
