Cloverfield director plans for sequel, Invisible Woman

Matt Reeves is still planning on directing a sequel for Cloverfield, but not until he gets another thriller on screen. The Invisible Woman will be Reeves next project, though it was originally slated before he hopped on board with J.J. Abrams to create “our own national monster,” as he called the beast in an interview with the LAist. You probably didn’t hear about a little film called Cloverfield, which was released in January. It was but a blip in the public consciousness, and it certainly did not break any box office records.
