Update: New tour dates added below in bold.--Modest Mouse has announced a rather, um, modest (sorry!) string of tour dates for late February and early March before helping headline the Langerado Festival in Miami on March 8. The indie-rock-trio-turned-radio-hit-making-sextet slowed down a bit in 2008 after a wild 2007, but have still managed to tour the country with R.E.M. and wrangle Grandaddy's Jim Fairchild to play guitar on the new tour dates. He'll be taking the place of Johnny Marr, who is working with The Cribs on their forthcoming album.... read more
