Australian singer/songwriter Missy Higgins kicked off a 13-date North American tour this week in support of her new album, On A Clear Night, released Tuesday on Warner Brothers. Higgins broke onto the music scene somewhat accidentally at age 17, when her sister submitted one of her tapes in a local talent-scouting competition and she won. She has since released two albums and several EPs in North America, Europe and her native Australia.
