Modest Mouse fans have a mere 18 days left before We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank hits stores, but the overeager can satisfy their Mouse cravings by watching the video for the first single, “Dashboard,” here. In keeping with the nautical theme of the album’s title, the video features a tall-tale involving frontman Isaac Brock as a sea-faring captain, a big boat, a bigger fish and a microphone instead of a hook. Those who were highly anticipating Modest Mouse’s upcoming album, We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, will just have to continue to wait. Originally slated for release on Dec. 19, the band announced in a press release that it is to be released in early 2007.
