MTV to show more music videos...at 3 a.m.

In a prospective money-making move that is equally baffling and exciting, MTV has decided to return to its roots and show more music videos. Of course, there's a catch: For anyone with a relatively normal sleep routine, the music will be hard to appreciate. On Monday, "AMTV" began showing music videos, interviews, news and performances from 3 to 9 a.m. The block of time, which has been called an advertising experiment for possible partnerships, will run Monday through Thursday. After 10 years, MTV bids adieu to TRL

Why, exactly, despite the sheer ridiculousness...  read more
