Oh, 'Up All Night'. You chose to focus on Ava (much to my dismay at first until she warmed up to me) a lot throughout the first season. Her crazy antics and her talk show dominated Chris and Reagan’s story. The first season was more about work than being parents. Now I have no idea what this show is going to be about. read more

'Parenthood' is at the point in its lifespan where it won’t pick up any new fans or start winning any major awards, but it still provides warmth for its dedicated fans. This episode was way smoother than the season premiere. That’s the privileged of being a veteran show; all of the catch up takes less than an episode before we’re able to move on. The reason this show continues to provide sufficient ratings is because it offers plots relatable to, well, people who are parents. read more

Trust no one. That seems to be the go-to advice for the characters in NBC’s new post-apocalyptic drama Revolution. It’s hard to take the show’s advice with the names attached to the pilot. The series was created Supernatural creator Eric Kirpke with J.J. Abrams, a man whose credits speak for themselves, executive producing. If those two weren’t enough they got Jon Favreau (Iron Man) to direct this epic first episode. read more

After the mass exit of Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg and Abby Elliott over the summer, there was a little worry as to whether this might be one of those seasons where SNL dips in quality. But to be frank, Wiig’s impressions were getting a bit tired, Samberg’s Digital Short had been fumbling towards mediocre and Elliott well I guess they don’t need a Zooey Deschanel impression anymore. “Seth MacFarlane/Frank Ocean” got the 38th season off to an exciting start, even without those three. read more
