At one point early on in the second episode of Whitney a couple teases Whitney that they haven’t “totally given up hope” and unfortunately, that’s what NBC and its audience should. Normally I’d say to give a new show a chance and stick it out. However, this show just keeps giving reasons not to watch it again and very little reward if you actually stay for the entire episode.  read more

Kal Penn's New Comedy Set in United Nations

It looks like Kal Penn’s time in the White House has influenced the actor’s Hollywood ambitions. Penn has a new project for NBC set in the United Nations. He will play an assistant to the U.S. Ambassador. Raphael Bob-Waksberg will write the pilot for the comedy with Penn likely using his own experiences as story arcs. Scot Armstrong and Ravi Nandan have been tapped to be executive producers on the project.  read more
