In another tale of Hollywood remaking great foreign films, Spike Lee’s planned adaptation of Oldboy has received its star: Josh Brolin. Lee took over directing from Steven Spielberg, who purchased the rights for the 2003 Korean revenge film. Spielberg’s version was reported to feature Will Smith as the title character and was to be based more of the comic, written by Nobuaki Minegishi.
