Christie Brinkley to Visit Parks and Rec as Jerry's Wife
Parks and Rec fans were shocked when in Season 4 the portly, bumbling Jerry Gergich’s daughter was revealed to be, well…not portly and bumbling. On the upcoming fifth episode of the show’s in-progress fifth season, we’ll learn why. Leslie’s campaign for city council hasn’t been the only thing going on in Parks and Recreation‘s fourth season, and that’s certainly contributed to why “Win, Lose, or Draw” felt so big. From when Leslie was first approached for office during the end of last season, it’s been a ride that’s slowly picked up speed, pacing out her slow rise to prominence with almost perfect pacing. By allowing this to develop naturally rather than dropping everything once her campaign began, Parks and Recreation has also been slowly building tension and, happily, the conclusion to all of that buildup doesn’t disappoint.... read more

Amongst the many changes that occurred between the first and second seasons of Parks and Recreation, one of the larger ones was that the show gained faith in the government. While this went hand in hand with its most substantial flip, Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope transitioning almost immediately from a ditz to almost a superheroine of civic progress, it’s also gone beyond just the show’s central character.
