Interpol’s Paul Banks isn’t shy about his love for hip hop. He’s appeared on El-P’s latest album, Cancer 4 Cure, and as he told us around the release of his solo album, Banks, “I’ve done a few collaborations that haven’t come to fruition yet, that are a little bit in [the hip-hop] vein. On Oct. 23, Interpol’s Paul Banks released his second solo album, Banks (streaming here). In promotion of the new album, Banks stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman to perform the lead single “Young Again.” Check out the performance below and the song’s accompanying music video here. There’s not much of an audience reaction, but that’s no knock on Banks. The frontman was a trooper and performed to an audience-less crowd in his native New York due to conditions of Hurricane Sandy.
