It’s taken seven episodes, but _Person of Interest_ finally did something…well, of interest. Last night’s episode “Witness” seemed like the big twist for the show would be the severing of ties between Reese and Finch as they tried to protect a teacher named Charlie, played by Enrico Colantoni of _Veronica Mars_ and _Just Shoot Me!_ Charlie became an unsuspecting witness to a mob murder and now must be protected. When Reese goes to save him, his cell phone breaks, also breaking any discussion between the two for the first time in the series.   read more

With the second episode of Person of Interest, entitled “Ghost”, we start off with what the show believes to be the action that people care about. Jim Caviezel’s Reese enters an elevator, saving a man who was about to be attacked by two men, possibly murdered, and then moving on without anyone around noticing. Right after, we get to what makes the show interesting, the actual person of interest for audiences, Michael Emerson’s Finch, flashing back to 2002 and discussing his machine that finds the people in danger. The problem is, _Person of Interest_ needs to realize who truly are the people audiences are interested in and focus on them.  read more

When looking at CBS’ primetime schedule, it’s clearly split into two groups. The first are a handful of sitcoms, the second, and more prominent, are a pile of mystery shows. With three different _CSI_’s, two _NCIS_’s, _Hawaii Five-O_, _The Mentalist_ and _Criminal Minds_, one might wonder if CBS really needs another show about solving crimes. Which brings us to one of CBS’ most anticipated new shows, _Person of Interest_. Does _Person of Interest_ stand out in the networks pile of mysteries? After the pilot episode, the answer seems like yes, or at least it is headed in that direction.  read more
