Ever since Raul Malo’s contribution to Raffi’s 2001 children’s album, Country Goes Raffi, the former Mavericks lead singer has been fairly productive as a solo artist. You wouldn’t think it possible to go anywhere but down after working with Canadian icon Raffi, but the folks in Nashville are abuzz over Malo’s latest album, After Hours. Former Mavericks' frontman Raul Malo is back with his third solo album to date, which will be released July 17 by New Door Records. Recorded live in-studio with almost no overdubs, After Hours is an homage to 10 of Malo's favorite country songs.
