Former Barenaked Ladies Frontman to Release Solo Album in September
Steven Page, who fronted and co-founded the Canadian rock group Barenaked Ladies, left the group to pursue a solo career in 2009. Since then, he has been working on an album called Page One, which is due out Sept. 28 via Anthem/Zoë/Rounder Records. A label founded in 1970 on traditional music of the American South, Rounder Records is set to release a four-disc compilation of its Big Easy-based catalogue titled City of Dreams: A Collection of New Orleans Music in October. The eclectic set, which includes tracks from Chuck Carbo, Irma Thomas, Professor Longhair and Art Neville, is divided into categories of brass bands, rhythm & blues, piano crackerjacks and more.
