Georgia might be known for its fried chicken, pecan orchards and syrupy drawl, but the state is also responsible for some of the best music to ever hit the radio. What I’m referring to is a deep-seeded musical past that existed before the days when R.E.M. was blowing peoples’ minds inside tiny Athens bars.
