Portlandia to Feature Johnny Marr

As if having Carrie Brownstein (formerly of Sleater-Kinney and now Wild Flag) acting in and writing Portlandia wasn't good enough, now we have word that Johnny Marr is on board to be in Season 2 of the IFC comedy show. According to the New York Magazine, Marr, the lead guitarist of bands like The Smiths, Modest Mouse, and The Cribs, will be playing a character that is "non-musical" and "some kind of ambiguous hybrid of himself and a character."  read more

Watch Four Promos for the New Season of <i>The Walking Dead</i>

After an incredibly short, but successful first season (only 6 episodes!),_Walking Dead_, will return to AMC this October 16th for its second season. The series is a post-apocalyptic zombie story based on the comic book series of the same name and has already been consistently acclaimed by both fans and critics. Season 2, set at 13 episodes long, will pick up almost immediately from where the show left off and depict the survivors' journey of leaving Atlanta for the countryside. Based upon the proclamation that Season 2 will be "sexier and more violent", AMC has released four mini-promos that are light on plot details, but are enough to get fans excited for the upcoming series.   read more
