For Valentine’s Day, The xx have released footage of a special cover performance of Beyoncé’s “I Miss You” on Thursday, according to Pitchfork. The original version was already set at a pretty slow tempo for the R&B singer but leave it to The xx to break the song down to a simple, deconstructed sound that highlights the sullen, almost lonely tone of the lyrics.
