We last wrote that neither subpar fluid intake nor toxification could keep the Cribs off the road, but apparently the group has been knocked asunder by that shifty mistress called success, and has to postpone its U.S. tour because of “scheduling conflicts due to a flurry of activity.” It seems old Johnny Lydon, or somebody from the Sex Pistols reunion party committee, invited the Cribs to be the opening band, apparently deeming them more reputable than old gorgonzola cheese in old boots and/or bowl- headed drummers in court rooms. Blackouts, hospitalization, whatever. Although the concert stage has been a treacherous landscape for UK band the Cribs, with twin brothers Ryan and Gary Jarman examined by doctors earlier this month for dehydration and blood poisoning (respectively), it is - historically - the best forum for live bands.
