Cambridge-based folk-pop couple The Weepies have announced their first U.S. tour in four years, a two-month run with dates from coast to coast, in support of their upcoming album, Be My Thrill. Be My Thrill will be released Aug. 31 on Nettwerk Records. The band premiered the first single from the album, “I Was Made For Sunny Days,” on this very website, and recently made an animated video to accompany it. New Line Records will release the soundtrack to Sex and the City: The Movie on May 27, just three days before the film hits theaters. Producer Salaam Remi (Amy Winehouse, Nas, The Fugees) put together the soundtrack and re-imagined the TV show’s theme song to become the film’s opener, “Labels or Love,” performed by pop star Fergie.
