X-Men: First Class, Thor Writers to Pen Top Gun Sequel

According to Variety, X-Men: First Class writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are in the middle of negotiations to write the script for the upcoming Top Gun sequel. Jerry Bruckheimer and David Ellison are both set to produce, but while Tony Scott confirmed the existence of the sequel last year, he still hasn't been officially announced to direct, nor has it been confirmed whether or not Tom Cruise's character Pete "Maverick" Mitchell will have any role in the new, yet to be penned story.  read more
