For a city that's known for 10-gallon-hat country, Nashville has quietly begun to flourish this decade as a place for rock-leaning singer/songwriters. Exhibit A is the third album from Music City collective Ten Out of Tenn: Ten tracks from 10 solo artists who are doing their best to put the Nashvegas label to rest. I know that the Ten out of Tenn project is a creative way for a group of talented musicians to help promote each other’s music, but I can’t help but hope their latest tour is the beginning of an indie supergroup. The new Christmas album makes for the group's third release. The unifying theme of holiday music obviously gives the record a far more cohesive feeling than their previous compliations.
