Twilight: New Moon Soundtrack Songs Unveiled: Some Thoughts and Predictions

After the first Twilight soundtrack sold 2.2 million copies in the U.S. (3.5 million worldwide) there was some serious jockeying between Sony Pictures and various labels for pole position on the New Moon soundtrack. First teased last week with a mind-numbing “preview of the preview,” the full trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon has the same money shots as the glimpse at the film that premiered at the MTV Movie Awards earlier this summer. Curiously, co-star Taylor Lautner narrates the spot with the usual platitudes about sequels (“We’re taking it to the next level!” etc. etc.), and Robert Pattinson is barely in it.
