Lou Reed Announces Summer European Tour
Lou Reed is set to embark on a summer European tour called “From VU to Lulu,” which we’re guessing means he’ll cover the span of his career leading up to last year’s rough Lulu. The tour will kick off in Luxembourg on June 6 and end in Trencin, Slovakia on July 5. read more

Members of the Velvet Underground are suing the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts for the use of the band’s iconic “banana” image, the New York Post reported. Lou Reed and John Cale said the foundation illegally licensed the logo for use on iPad cases and accessories. Warhol was the band’s manager and producer when the album was produced, but never copyrighted the design. read more
