Known for their go-big-or-go-home attitude, the Wachowskis appear ready to deliver another sci-fi spectacle. The first trailer for Cloud Atlas, an amazingly epic-looking film featuring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and Hugo Weaving (among many others), looks like quite an ambitious project. Hugh Grant Cast as Rapist, Cannibal for Cloud Atlas

Grant, most famous for his parts in Notting Hill and About a Boy, has been cast as a rapist and cannibal for Cloud Atlas. The film is an adaptation of the David Mitchell novel and is set to star Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and Jim Broadbent.   read more

Hugh Grant Joins Cast of the Wachowskis' Cloud Atlas

Earlier this year we reported on the Wachowski brothers signing on to write and direct the film adaptation of David Mitchell's 2004 novel Cloud Atlas alongside Run Lola Run-helmer Tom Tykwer, with Tom Hanks attached to star. Since then, the cast has swollen significantly with the additions of Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Susan Sarandon, Jim Broadbent and Ben Whishaw. Today, Screen Daily reported that English actor Hugh Grant is the latest person to join the star-studded cast. Filming will take place in Glasgow, Scotland.  read more
