Nophest 5.0 comes to WonderRoot this Thanksgiving Weekend

Here's something to be thankful for: Friday, Nov. 28 through Sunday, Nov. 30, WonderRoot will host the fifth edition of Atlanta's Nophest Music Festival. To get you up off the couch, away from the holiday football and burning off all those turkey calories as soon as possible, shows begin at 8 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m., Sunday, and the schedule features almost every excellent small local band, including Nerd Parade, Sunday Drive Bye, Lindsay Appel, Tealights, It's Elephant's, Pistolero, Gift Horse, Wighat and many more. Sopo Bike Co-op celebrates three years of pedal mettle

Atlanta’s Sopo Bicycle Cooperative turns three years old this month, an accomplishment that is in no way unrelated to the friendly, educational and economical services the shop offers for local bicycle freaks and fools alike. They'll celebrate in style at their Cogtail Party Saturday, Oct. 11, at WonderRoot with local musical acts The Thieves and Herman Put Down the Gun, and Brooklyn’s The Shondes. Other Sound Festival kicks off tomorrow night, avoids "trendiness" for fourth year running

This year's Other Sound Festival takes place over three days in three venues, and promises to be an exploration of the city's truly independent music, featuring the best bands in Atlanta and beyond.
