After only one weekend, Rock School—the documentary about the Paul Green School of Rock—has closed, reportedly, due to a very light box-office draw. The remaining nationwide openings were cancelled by Newmarket Films with no word from the company about possible rescheduling.

The Philadelphia school is a structured environment where students 18 and younger learn to play rock music. The film’s soundtrack features musicians Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Ian Gillan of Deep Purple, and Alice Cooper, who also makes a cameo appearance to play “School’s Out” with some of the students featured in the film.
