Broken Social Scene to tour

Since Leslie Feist and Broken Social Scene co-founder Kevin Drew have already tasted the savory nectar of solo careers—of their 2007 albums, the former made 5 and the latter 54 on Paste's Best of 2007 list—it was only fair that Brendan Canning, the other half of that initial BSS formula, got his shot at the title. As we reported back in May, Canning's Something For All of Us is set for release July 22 on Arts & Crafts as the second installment in the Broken Social Scene Presents collection (after Drew's Spirit If...).

This August, the Toronto-based über-collective will strap together as a seven-piece (no Feist, unfortch) and tour through America, hitting festivals like Lollapalooza and Sunset Junction, before easing on down the road to South America. Set-lists will pull from both Drew and Canning's BSS-based solo work, as well as time-tested, fan-approved old favorites.
