The British Invasion may be long over, but The Kinks still know how to (really) get us going. Rumors have been buzzing for a while now on the possibility of a reunion, and it's starting to look like it just might happen.
It might be rough getting this one off the runway though: Davies confided that the tour hinges on the health of his brother, guitarist Dave Davies, who suffered a stroke in 2004. Ray also would have to shoehorn the reunion around a solo North American tour and collaborative album he's got in the works. Stay tuned.

The band has begun recording fresh material in anticipation of a reunion, frontman Ray Davies told the BBC: "We've started a little bit of this and that. But it is too early to judge the quality. It depends if there's good music. We want good new music. I'd like to do it as a more collaborative thing than we used to do."
