After the generally favorable feedback about the film and the nearly $140 million grossed worldwide, it is no surprise that Fox is once again teaming up with Hugh Jackman to bring Wolverine back to the silver screen.
According to Variety, Jackman and his Seed Productions partner are already setting up various projects for the actor to participate in, among those, a Wolverine sequel. The follow-up film will be mainly focused on the samurai storyline originated in the Marvel comic
series, and a teaser of the setting was featured during one of the alternate endings, when Logan is shown drinking at a Japanese bar.
Despite the film encountering several issues, from the leaked unfinished product to a movie critic getting fired and all the controversy surrounding it, Wolverine regenerated itself into a massive hit around the world.
