Guitarist and singer for The Seeds, Sky Saxon, died Thursday morning. He was 63.
Saxon had been hospitalized in Austin, Texas, in critical condition
the morning of June 29. The singer was best known for his work with 1960s garage-rock band The Seeds, which he founded in 1966. The band made their name as rock legends with 1966's popular "Pushin' Too Hard."
Saxon had tour dates planned throughout August at the time of his death, and had recently collaborated with The Smashing Pumpkins'Billy Corgan.
