We apologize in advance for the recent deluge of Radiohead coverage, but what else can we do as gluttons for fresh material from the iconic band? Not even a week has passed since Thom Yorke & Co. acknowledged the mysterious release of "These Are My Twisted Words," and here comes some more release news, this time of the solo Yorke variety.
On Sept. 7, the Radiohead frontmant will release a limited edition 7" vinyl edition of his solo single, a cover of Mark Mulcahy's "All For The Best." The single's B-side will include an original by Mulcahy himself, "Ciao My Shining Star," which doubles as the title for his tribute album, slated for a Sept. 29 release under Mulcahy's Mezzotint label. The especially limited vinyl record will be sold at Recordstore.co.uk, which is only issuing 2,000 copies worldwide. Best of luck, fanboys and fangirls.
As previously reported, the track is just one of several contributions to appear on the Mulcahy tribute record, which will include artists such as Michael Stipe of R.E.M., The National, Frank Black, Mercury Rev and Dinosaur Jr.
