is one of the most beloved/prolific/newsworthy/insert-descriptor-here songwriters of the last decade. Throughout the aughts, the only thing more astonishing than the volume of work he produced was how much of it was actually good. Last year, fans were alarmed to hear that he’d be taking a break from recording and touring. Now, there’s good news for Adams fans in withdrawal—you can get your next Adams fix in the form of an upcoming book of photographs from Cardinals guitarist Neal Casal.
Ryan Adams & the Cardinals: A View of Other Windows is a collection of 200 photos taken by Casal during the Cardinals’ time on tour and in the studio with Adams, and promises to paint an intimate picture of the road and an artist’s creative process. It includes a foreword by the icon himself and an afterword by the Grateful Dead’s Phil Lesh who says, “This book makes me want to go back on the road…again.”
A View of Other Windows will hit bookstore shelves in March.
