As you may have heard, ABC’s desert-island drama Lost is in its sixth and final season. With the series quickly drawing to a close, devoted fans are left to wonder where they will channel their island-obsessed energies next. Perhaps what they need is a nice vacation…to a Lost theme park attraction?
In a January interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lost executive producer Carlton Cuse had this to say: “The Walt Disney Co. owns Lost. It’s a franchise that’s conservatively worth billions of dollars. It’s hard to imagine Lost will rest on the shelves and nothing will ever be made with Lost.”
Cuse’s comments got rumors flying, with Vulture hoping he was “hinting at a full-fledged Lost amusement park.” Now, more than a month later, Vulture follows up that the show’s writers and producers may have hinted at a Lost theme park during PaleyFest2010: “That Lost-themed amusement park attraction we’ve been hoping for? It might actually happen.” Fingers crossed!
