Just as this year’s Bonnaroo festival wraps up, the NXNE festival in Toronto will commence. Headlining the week-long music and film extravaganza this year are Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Iggy and the Stooges as well as The Raveonettes, De La Soul, Mudhoney, X and Les Savy Fav.
The schedule for the festival, which runs June 14-20, is available on the NXNE website. Attendees can use the site’s Make My Schedule application to pick and choose which performances and film screenings to include in their itineraries before scoping out the dozens of participating Canadian venues. Currently, Iggy and the Stooges and The Raveonettes are scheduled to perform Saturday night, while De La Soul will take the Yonge Dundas Square stage Sunday night. Be sure to also check out the North American premiere of director Don Letts’ latest, Carnival!, in addition to his Joe Strummer documentary, Strummerville, which will have multiple screenings throughout the week.
