Like the dancing zombies it launched into superstardom, “Thriller” will never die: GK Films has reportedly secured the rights to turn Michael Jackson’s iconic music video into a feature film.
Never mind that both Jackson and Vincent Price (who provided the song’s classic spoken word parts and evil laughs) are both dead. The studio’s forging ahead with the project, with Kenny Ortega (who helmed Jackson’s This is It movie) attached to direct and Jeremy Garelick (The Hangover) penning the script. According to Deadline, the plot “has to do with the song’s folklore, involving Vincent Price and the town he grew up in.”
We’re not too sure about this one, GK. If you have to mess with a classic, could you at least cast these guys
