The Drums are set to kick off two weeks of shows in the U.K. and Ireland beginning Nov. 24, and frontman Jonathan Pierce recently told the NME that the band is headed into the studio once the tour wraps up.
“At the end of the tour, we’re taking a few months off,” he told the magazine. “But it’s not to relax. It’s to make our next album.”
Their self-titled debut was just released earlier this year, but Pierce said he’s eager to knock out as many albums as he can. “This may not last forever – we might have three albums, maybe four. Who knows?” he said. “We might have a hundred. It’s good to do it all now. I feel like we all share this nervous energy and a fire in our belly.”
