The men with the pens behind Zombieland, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, are set to work on what will be their directorial debut, Doc and Howie.
The comedy follows the title characters’ tribulations regarding their elder upstairs neighbor’s death after they refused to help her carry her groceries in. Said tribulations multiply when the late neighbor’s attractive granddaughters come into town and the two guys agonize over whether or not to tell them the truth.
Steve Leff is poised to write the film originally dubbed Doc and Howie Whack a Granny. Production is slated to start early this summer.
