What originally started as a one-off celebration of Radio Woodstock’s 25th anniversary has since transformed into the Mountain Jam Music Festival. On June 2-5, the New York radio station and legendary guitarist Warren Haynes will return for its seventh consecutive year to New York’s Hunter Mountain with headliners Gov’t Mule, My Morning Jacket and the Warren Haynes Band topping the festival’s bill.
Gov’t Mule will headline for the seventh consecutive year on Saturday, June 4—a scheduled two-set performance that will reportedly be one of only a few shows for the blues-rock outfit in 2011. My Morning Jacket will also return to Mountain Jam, this time to close out the weekend with a Sunday-night headlining slot.
Other acts performing include Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Avett Brothers, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, North Mississippi All-Stars, Béla Fleck & The Flecktones, Hot Tuna, Mavis Staples, Portugal. The Man, Toubab Krewe, Preservation Jazz Hall Band and more.
