Wanda Jackson’s new album, The Party Ain’t Over, is now available for free streaming on NPR’s website. The Queen of Rockabilly’s Jack White-produced LP was recorded at White’s Third Man Records studio in Nashville and features the White Stripes/Raconteurs/Dead Weather renaissance man himself as Jackson’s lead guitarist.
The Party Ain’t Over is Jackson’s first studio album in eight years, but her return is ferocious. As a collection of covers, the new record includes the 73-year-old legend’s take on varying artists and genres running the gamut from The Andrews Sisters to Bob Dylan to Amy Winehouse.
The NPR stream of The Party Ain’t Over will run until the album is released on Jan. 25.
