Of Montreal Announces EP, Book, Tour

Back in January, we shared news about Athens psych-pop group Of Montreal’s plans to release a new EP titled thecontrollersphere. The group released some more details recently regarding the new release. For starters, the EP is a 23-minute, five-song effort that will be available on CD and 12” vinyl (on black & limited edition of 1500 bright blue vinyl). It will also feature “Black Lion Massacre,” which can now be downloaded; in exchange for an e-mail address.

Of Montreal  frontman Kevin Barnes calls the new album a folk record, elaborating:
