Arnold Schwarzenegger is attached to star in a rights package that would revive the Terminator franchise, according to Deadline.
2009’s McG-directed Terminator: Salvation had intended to be a franchise revival by Halcyon entertainment, but Halcyon ran out of money and was unable to produce more films after the first. The rights deal is currently being shopped around to various studios, with Fast Five director Jusin Lin attached to direct.
Aside from his brief, digital cameo in Salvation, this will be Schwarzenegger’s first Terminator appearance since 2003’s T3: Rise of the Machines. Here’s hoping we see the Governator back in action soon.
