HBO and BBC Plan WikiLeaks Movie

HBO  and the BBC are making plans to co-produce a made-for-TV movie based on the events surrounding the nonprofit whistle-blowing organization WikiLeaks.

Based on The New Yorker article No Secrets: Julian Assange’s Mission for Total Transparency, the storyline will follow editor-in-chief Julian Assange and his associates as they gather classified information from anonymous sources and release it to the public.

Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall, a pair of producers known for their work in Jurassic Park and Schindler’s List, have signed on to the project. Charles Ferguson, the man behind the recession documentary Inside Job, has agreed to direct the film, and Rowan Joffe will write the script.
