Paste is excited to announce a new collaboration with SuperGlued to find the next Summer Music Junkie.
The 2011 Summer Music Junkie Contest, which kicked off on Monday and will run through Labor Day, is an interactive contest where New York City concertgoers can earn points and prizes for every show they attend. They can also earn points by using social media tools like Facebook, FourSquare and Twitter to post photos, check in at venues and tweet about shows. Each week, participants with the most points will win prizes. The participant with the most points at the end of the contest will receive the coveted title of Summer Music Junkie, and the grand prize to one of the biggest and best music festivals in America.
So how do you get started? Head on over to SuperGlued’s website to join and learn more about the contest. If you’re in the NYC area, you can start earning points by attending some upcoming concerts this week. Every week, Paste will select our recommended shows, which are noted on the SuperGlued event calendar. Of course we won’t steer you wrong!
You can also “Like” SuperGlued on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.
