After the creepy incident with people bidding on Michael Jackson’s deathbed, we knew things were going to get a little weird. Now that the case of Jackson’s death is settled, Michael Jackson Estates (his family) has stated they are pushing to get a biopic made about the King of Pop.
After the success of movies like Walk The Line and Ray, a biopic on Jackson seems like a logical move. While this much was to be expected, the story doesn’t end there. According to a report from Variety, it turns out that Jackson’s family wants the biopic to only focus on particular parts of Jackson’s career and life.
Our guess is that they want to keep the scandals and controversies of Jackson’s later life out of the public eye for a while. Although no deal has been struck yet, they are currently in talks with director Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock’s Montecito Picture Company.
