Recently Columbia Pictures unveiled the full eight-minute theatrical trailer to the upcoming David Fincher film adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. For those worried about such a long trailer spoiling the film, take solace in knowing that Fincher’s detective thriller will run at over two and a half hours and doesn’t do much more than offer a brief summary of the events that set the story in motion.
Actress Rooney Mara has already won the National Board of Review Award for Breakthrough Performance as the film’s anti-social but genius hacker heroine Lisbeth Salander who aids investigative journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) in his unraveling of a locked room murder mystery that involves the wealthy and politically influential high societies of Sweden.
