Veteran guitarist and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bonnie Raitt is slated to release a new album in April, Rolling Stone reported. The album is titled Slipstream and is her first studio album in the seven years since she released Souls Alike. Tour dates in support of the album will also be announced later.
Slipstream will be released on Raitt’s new label, Redwing, and will feature two Bob Dylan covers and some production from Joe Henry.
Raitt has been on hiatus since the death of her parents, brother and friend. In a statement, the songwriter said she took a break from music “to get back in touch with the other part of my life.”
