has done it again.
With all the Lana Del Rey debates and her notorious SNL performance, it was only a matter of time before Wiig hopped into a white floor-length gown, popped on a ginger wig and embodied the pouty-lipped Lizzy Grant.
In the Saturday night skit, anchorman Seth Meyers says, “Some critics believe your new name Lana Del Rey seemed like a marketing gimic.”
Wiig responds, “Yes, and they are absolutely right. No serious musician would change their name except maybe for Sting, Cher, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, everyone else in hip-hop and of course Bob Dylan.”
She stands awkward and is distant and weird. Wiig assures it’s only because she is awkward, distant and weird.
Lana Del Rey’s album Born To Die is available now. If you weren’t aware of this, we might have to ask you where you’ve been the past month.
