Laura Marling’s new video for “All My Rage” takes us out of the natural world and into an alternate one, where toys play instruments and sing. Her voice, matched by the animated friends, is certainly provocative, as the video evolves from what initially seems slightly creepy to a joyful rendition of a cleverly endearing song.
The 22-year-old Brit began in the London folk scene in 2008 (having previously collaborated with Noah and the Whale) and has been navigating international waters throughout the past few years.
Her 2011 release of A Creature I Don’t Know brought her recognition, as she won both the Best British Female at the Brit Awards and NME’s Best Solo Artist.
Marling is touring the U.K. now and will head to the States in April where she open for Andrew Bird on some of his dates and perform at Coachella, Bonnaroo and Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
