Singer/songwriter and Dresden Dolls frontwoman Amanda Palmer has announced a new studio album, her first since parting ways with her record label four years ago. The album will feature her new band, The Grand Theft Orchestra.
In addition, Palmer is planning an ambitious art gallery tour to select cities, featuring visual artwork inspired by the record from more than 30 artists. To fund the process, Palmer utilized a Kickstarter campaign, raising more than the requested $100,000 in the first seven hours. She also intends to release a book of the artwork.
