With roles ranging from the precocious college-student-turned-volatile-wife in Blue Valentine to Marilyn Monroe in this years My Week With Marilyn , Michelle Williams has now taken on the quirky, Miranda July-esque sensibility of Margot in Take This Waltz, one of our most anticipated movies of 2012.
Happily married to Seth Rogen—yes, we said happily—Margot falls for neighbor artist (Luke Kirby) and tries to reconcile her feelings of marriage, morality and honesty. The trailer for the June release made its debut today. Williams homely role is drastic change from her previous role, and she succeeds in quirkiness.
Take a first look at the full-length trailer of Take This Waltz. Sarah Silverman even has what appears to be a decent size role in the film as the friend and confidant of Williams.
Williams just finishing filming Oz: The Great and Powerful, a Sam Raimi take on the prequel to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The stacked film features Williams, Mila Kunis, James Franco, Rachel Weisz and Zach Braff. The film is expected for a release in March 2013.
